The T10 type grid coupling, commonly known as a snake spring coupling, is a high-performance flexible coupling widely used in industrial power transmission systems. It features a serpentine spring (grid) element that transmits torque while providing excellent vibration damping and shock absorption properties.
This coupling consists of two shaft hubs, a grid spring element, and a protective cover. The grid element is made from high-quality alloy steel, heat-treated for optimal strength and elasticity. During operation, the grid flexes within the curved grooves of the hubs, allowing slight misalignments in parallel, angular, and axial directions. This flexibility effectively reduces mechanical stress on connected machinery.
The T10 grid coupling is especially suitable for high-speed, high-torque applications, such as in pumps, compressors, conveyors, fans, and other rotating equipment. It helps extend the service life of machinery by reducing wear and noise, improving efficiency, and minimizing maintenance requirements.
Key features include compact design, high torque capacity, good misalignment tolerance, excellent damping characteristics, and easy maintenance. Its protective cover also retains lubrication, extending the service life of the coupling and ensuring smooth operation under various working conditions.
